Not because the science failed. Because the biotechs couldn't hire the right executives fast enough.
After 25 years in executive recruitment and 8 years in medical/healthcare, I built a 500+ network of Big Pharma oncology leaders at Roche, Novartis, AstraZeneca, Bristol Myers Squibb, and Merck. I saw brilliant Series A-C biotechs with breakthrough ADC, CAR-T, and IO platforms struggle to compete for talent against bigger brands.
I founded SSB Search in 2025 to fix that.

Karen manages all backend operations for SSB Search—client coordination, candidate scheduling, CRM management, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks while Simeon focuses on placements.
With 30 years of business operations and executive administration experience, she's the reason searches run smoothly from first call to signed offer. She handles the details so clients and candidates get white-glove service without Simeon drowning in admin work.

Senior Recruitment Consultant
Mike supports SSB Search with candidate sourcing, client meetings, and business development. With 15 years of recruitment experience in life sciences, he brings expertise in clinical development and medical affairs talent across oncology biotechs, CROs, and pharmaceutical companies.
He focuses on sourcing Clinical Research Associates, Medical Science Liaisons, VP Clinical Development candidates, and regulatory affairs professionals for Series A-C oncology companies across Europe and the USA.
